I have a very dear friend who lost her beloved pet recently. I know, very sad. But Honey was up there in years and the memories she will have will last her a lifetime. Here is a card I made for her:

Having my new Klic-n-Kut (KNK)has opened up a new world for me, which now includes card making. However, being new to card making (did I mention that already?) I made the card too large for any envelope I own. And, the largest paper I have is 12" x 12", just slightly too small to make an envolope for the card. So, since I was going to hand deliver it to her I came up with a solution that worked, and one I'm sharing in case any of you happen to find yourself in a similar situation.

I wrapped the card in matching paper (which did not overlap) and added two string clasps by K&Company. |

I got some grief for not creating a How-to on doing an array in PhotoShop (my digital scrapbook software of choice). So, for you PhotoShop users out there, check out the How-to tab for a lesson on how to array a flower petal.
or just click here.

It's 6:00pm and I'm sitting out in my backyard watching two quail climb up my waterfall. I love summer. If only I had a cabana boy to serve me a margarita! Perhaps my DH will join me out here soon and bring a couple of said margaritas. In the mean time I thought I would add some content to my web site (other than the freebie bumble bee I added earlier today). I'm new to this blogging thing, I draw pictures for a living, writing just isn't my thing. Unlike Gigi, who writes beautifully, perhaps I could talk her into being a guest blogger. If you're reading this Gigi, we should get together one of these days and maybe you could give me some pointers.
Here is the last KNK file in my Islanders Series:

My next project, I'm thinking of a Sister's album, in some nice bright colours. I'll keep you posted, in case anyone is thinking of a similar project. OK, I've bored you enough. I'll post the gecko tomorrow.

I'm on holiday this week, because I'm taking care of a little lamb for my girlfriend's daughter. When not taking care of Lamb Chop, I hope to just scrap, scrap, scrap!!!
My friend Kim e-mailed me on Friday with a plea for help. She needed to put together 4 scrapbook pages for a group effort album for her mother-in-law's 70th birthday. She only had two evenings to put them together and she had never done any scrapbooking. OMG was I excited. Not only could I help a friend in need, I was going to be scrapbooking with a friend into the wee hours of the night. Something I haven't done in a very long time. Here are the 3 pages that Kim and I created (I didn't scan the 4th):

I just love the font! Kim picked it out.

The names and the flowers I cut on my new KNK!

All I'm doing right now is trying to get my new web site up and running. The Bunko tab is the only one working at this time. Give me a break, I've been busy!
This last weekend was my nephew Sean's birthday party. It was great and all the kids seemed to have fun on the giant water slide and swimming in the pool. Click on the photo below to view some of the pictures I will be scrapbooking the first chance I get.
